This month is a peony month. I had my wedding anniversary and got a bunch of beautiful Red Charm peony flowers from John. It reminded me of my trip to Hong Kong when I got a gift from John – Stella In Two Peony perfume in 2005. I have to admit that I wasn’t that familiar with perfume. I knew a little about EDT, EDP and EDC. At first, it was the bottle design that caught my eyes. It is so pinky and pretty.
Then I kept it for a long time in my closet, until two years ago for our wedding day. I finally had a closer look at it. I had Eau De Toilette by Stella McCartney. When I opened the bottle, it had a soft oriental floral smell, and a sweet rose undertone. What a sexy perfume, with amber, black pepper, peony, and patchouli woods blended in. It is so mysterious at the same time. By the way, the rose smell of this EDT is not so striking as I expected, I like the fact that it’s an undertone. The combination is subtle and softly sensational.
It is a very addictive EDT, I’ve used it almost every week since May 2009. You can imagine I need to get a new bottle very quickly.
