Easy Chinese stir fried wonton recipe | Honest food

Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed your weekend a lot. Yes, Monday again. It is a long day for me or maybe it is for everyone.

What did you have during last weekend? I have a very interesting mixture of different type of food during the weekend. Sometime, you feel like to visit some nature shop to get some organic food on your plate. Some of the food just taste much better than we get from normal supermarket. I had a very nice experience when I got my groceries from Marqt on Overtoom in Amsterdam.

I have done some interesting table decoration during the weekend. I did styling and photography and it is nice to try out. Love the summer green, I used a lot of blue and green in this set.

In the next set, I used some pink tint. It is a really romantic set.

fried wonton for four person
Ingredients:
1 pack (around 40 pieces) wonton wrappers
450 gm chicken cut into small pieces
1 onion, cut into small pieces, 1/2 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tsp ginger
2 tsp basil leaf, 2 tsp parsley, 150 g cabbage, 50g carrot,
3 green onion cut into small pieces, 1 egg, 50g celery,
3 dried Chinese mushroom
1/2 tsp spicy mix, 1 tbsp oyster sauce

Marinade chicken for 20 minutes, cool in fridge covered with foil
1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp water, 1/2 tsp light soy sauce,
1/2 tsp cornstarch

Ingredients for dipping sauce:
2 tsp Zhen Jiang vinegar
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
1/4 tsp hot red pepper
1 tsp sesame oil
3 tsp coriander leaf, cut into small pieces

Heat oil in a large fry pan; place the marinated chicken into the pan until the color changes. Set aside. Add more oil. Add garlic, onion, ginger and green onion into the pan until you smell its aroma. Toss in the mixture, plus salt, eggs, oil, and spicy mix in the fry pan, stir them well on medium heat. Pour over oyster sauce afterwards, adjust the taste and season extra salt to taste. Transfer to a big bowl and the filling for wanton is now ready.

Prepare extra flour and water when wrapping wanton. Use a spoon or chopsticks to put the filling in the centre of the wrap, fold and make a rectangle shape and add a few drops of water with your finger on all edges. Close the sides well.

Lay flat all the wanton in a hot oiled pan, add water and cover it for a few minutes, move the cover and let it sit for 5 minutes till the color changes to golden. Serve it in a nice bowl. Eat with dipping sauce.
